| Eckerö Line Ab Oy started a regular route service between Helsinki (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia) in August 1994. Its m/s Nordlandia is one of the biggest passanger ferries in the route, operating a daily service. It can take 2,000 passengers and 450 cars or 42 trailer trucks onboard.
Eckerö Line is a subsidiary of the Eckerö Group (Rederiaktiebolaget Eckerö, based on Åland Islands) - other subsidiaries include Eckerö Linjen, operating a ferry service between Åland and Sweden, the travel agency Ålandsresor, and the bus company Williams Buss.
